Most people are not rich and don't always get great drops. Don't believe the hype.

the people that have money are people that have been playing since the beginning when drops where good.

then anet pulled a fast one and realized that gold is worthless.

sad thing about skill price increase. i was complaining about a 500g skills now wtf.

just seemed counter productive to me and created more grind.

btw since the solo monk is just about dead when are we going to see the drops come back up. don't know about you but still having crap drops at most locations.

i have really needed money. just do the missions and quests and the monsters u kill on the way should be enuff to get the stuff you NEED. the stuff you WANT will probly require u to farm.

Hmm... its not that hard to get gold in the game.. just farm and get something good and sell it to people. It works everytime for me and sorrows is the best place to farm as a boss drop can range from 5k - 100k + 5 ectos.. So even tho u are poor, u dun have to have 600k or so to enjoy the game

Is it really that important that your weapons and armor have to be shiny? Just get a set of droknar's armor and get the collector's items you need. Tada, you're just as good as anyone in FoW armor. The rest is just luxury, and not having the luxury doesn't mean you're poor. About green items, you're just as able to farm those as the "rich" are, so there's no "rich getting richer" or "poor getting poorer" here.

For 1 Sorrow's Furnace run I got like 3k (selling useless items and the gold I got from the monsters) and the Green Item which will sell for around 15k.

So if you're lucky you're able to get lots of money for just a bit of hard work

Really? I'm a pretty sad muppet and play a lot - just ask the wife I'm still saving for grotto armour for my warrior, but it's one long grind trying to get the cash together.

BTW: Before anyone starts flaming me, I'm aware that I don't actually need 15k armour - I would just like to have it

just learn to farm, i remember my first celestial sigil took a long time to get, and my first set of 15k armor seemed to take FOREVER, but i had gotten alot better at farming by the time i decided i wanted fissure, and it took me maybe a month(playing an average of 4 hours a day, farming constantly, and buying all the materials) to get my fissure armor, so really once you get practice at farming you can get gold quickly, right now i generally make around 6-20k an hour, and thats just selling stuff to the merch/rune trader, thats not counting stuff i auction on here
